His homeowner's insurance will end up footing most of the bill on this one. Cnsidering the articles it seems he doted on the dogs pretty heavily so it's hard to believe they were mistreated. In the same vein, it's kind of unusual for dogs to suddenly snap like that. Even so... 'snapping' like that is definately more common in pure-bred dogs, all the inbreeding eventually must fuck with their brains.
A close friend had this huge harlequin (sp?) dane. Poor thing lost it over a week or so. Went from being a well behaved goofy dog to a maniac in that period and became so violent that it had to be put down.
