You forgot one major principle here: The Dems were NEVER IN DANGER of having those aforementioned politicians replaced by Republicans.

Clinton got impeached but there was no chance in hell he'd be convicted in the Senate.

Franken got whacked but they had his left-winged female replacement already in the queue.

Take however, what happened in Virginia with Northram and his KKK thing, along with the LT gov who got accused of forcing a woman to blow him. The commonwealth AG also got accused of racism and KKK stuff.
