Oatmeal is boring but very healing for me personally definitely cleared up my bleeding gums from drinking too much cheap beer
Any of you just buy the sugary oatmeal and add the natural oatmeal to it? I don’t need the full sugar oatmeal but half sugar is pretty good

Steel cut oats + vanilla protein + almond butter and cinnamon.
But you should go low carb until you drop a 100 or so.

That’s all I do. Eating oatmeal is like eating brown rice. It sucks.

I buy 'em from Danta Claus on occasion. Good flavors, bulk, not expensive. (True Nutrition)

Better texture/taste IMO.
If I use regular oats, it's in the blender.

Steel cut or original (not quick) take longer to turn into glucose and slow down insulin release as opposed to quick or instant which almost instantly convert to glucose.
That's the only significant difference.

How about a meatloaf recipe with oatmeal?
Substitute about a cup of oats for the breadcrumbs. Put the oats in a bowl and add milk. As the milk is absorbed, add more. After the oats have soaked for several hours add it to your meatloaf mix.

Fruity shakes? Very homo.
Steel cut oats straight in a shaker with some protien powder, ground flax and whatever else you need. No fannying about.
Ground oats can make the shake lumpy and rolled oats make the shake soggy.

Anyone ever tried some of those 'overnight' oats recipes? I haven't, but I'd like to. Looks like a good way to make oatmeal less shit.
Despite my post above, yeah I do this sometimes. And yes it's tastes pretty good this way!

"So is it safe to eat ‘raw’ oatmeal? The answer is ‘yes’ for traditional rolled oats you find in large paperboard canisters in the grocery store. Rolled oats have been steamed and heated in processing; steps that destroy pathogens and help to ensure safety. "
