Yes. Every year for the last 25 years. It's recommended for everyone over age 6 months in Canada.

I'm not worried about dying from the flu, but I don't want to get sick (I own my own business and I don't get paid sick days) and I don't want to spread it.

Ok, so in my case, since I live alone in a detached home and live off my savings, I choose to stay home alone and self-isolate while recovering.

As long as I don't spread it, what's the problem?

The current gene therapy agents are not vaccines - they are non-sterilizing prophylactic agents. They reduce infection by about 30%, and reduce serious outcomes by about 70%.

They don't prevent infection or spread completely. They barely prevent infection at all - just serious outcomes.

I agree - he looks younger. I didn't doubt his age when it said 36, until I personally investigated the matter. OAK does not investigate these cases.

He also doesn't know what "cherry-picking" means either. It is RARE to be a healthy person under 50 and die of Covid. It does happen, but those are WILDLY out of the ordinary.

Those are the exceptions that prove the rule.

While you were investigating did you also discover he was waiting for a kidney transplant? So much for his not having comorbidities. While I doubt anyone was being dishonest, incomplete information tends to bit one in the ass.

Did I mention that I am still hacking my head off everyday since getting COVID. Honestly, I have not had a cold in several years. But the truth is that when I get a cold, it invariably ends of requiring an antibiotic because it has developed into a bacterial infection in my lungs. So, should I die from this (unlikely) you have my permission to say I died because I got pneumonia as per usual.

BTW I have a doctor's appointment coming up soon for a physical. He can prescribe the antibiotic then. If I survive that long. Appelez-moi Camille interprétée par Greta Garbo. LOL!

Thanks for the advice Matt. I am retired, all I do is rest. LOL. Truthfully, I have been sleeping at least 10 hours out of every 24  since getting COVID. Before getting COVID, I had a pretty decent workout routine that I was doing at home. I have temporarily put it on hold. Coughing all the time is exhausting.

Honestly, a lot of retired people still exhaust themselves doing other things.

I'd recommend no getting off the couch, unless it's to stretch. Lots of electrolytes [Gatorade is a good one], and Vitamin D - I'd suggest 3,000 to 5,000 IU's of Vitamin D at a MINIMUM.

I think you can safely go over that, but I don't want to recommend to you anything that a doctor wouldn't.

Just rest, I would say. It's not pleasant to have the symptoms you described linger on and on.

I'm kinda glad for what this is all revealing though.  I never realized that Canada was full of a bunch of totalitarian commies before.  Always thought they were this nice friendly safe somewhat goofy country that pretty much shared the values of the US.  Same with Australia.  Nope, the majority of those countries populations are good with all of this tyranny. I've had that awful hacking Cough twice over the last couple of years
really not nice at all.
Took a long time to go away.
