Only one Fascist state has ever existed, Italy and for a short period the Italian Social Republic when Italy was split into two countries from 1943 - 1945.
People use the term very loosely these days.

The war was held in Angola and Mozambique. Those countries are in Africa.
Portugal is located in southern Europe.
My father wasn't deployed there.

Google "Salazar regime portugal".
The hunger, disease and poverty wasn't used loosely in those times.
