Chances are, she will be fine. The percentage of folks getting sick from the vaccine is very small.
She seems to be tolerating it well, although she slept for about 20 hours.
How she's being treated brothers me tho. Last year, when this thing was going to kill us all, and nursing homes were clearly its favorite place, she refused to quit even though I told her I'd handle the money. That's courage.
A year later she's under orders from the government to take the shot. This is from people who haven't required themselves to have it under penalty of termination, mind you. These are rules for the peasants. From here on forward, I guess they get to tell you what to take or you're fired even though they aren't taking it themselves. This is a thing we all accept now.
All this where there is no virus. There is no covid whatsoever in Western Australia. This legally and ethically shakey, makes no practical sense, and is a disgusting way to treat someone who stayed at her post even when it appeared dangerous.
It's easy to say she needs to fight for her rights, etc. But we're a buch of argumentative assholes on this board. Some people aren't wired that way. She's a gentle person. I've witnessed the force of the state and her employer basically bully this gentle woman into doing something she'd rather not do, and it's quite clear this is how she's going to continue to be treated.
So yes, she's fine in the sense that she doesn't appear to be having a bad reaction. But she has been aggressively badgered into taking the shot and nobody seems to think there's a problem with treating her that way. Probably because they didn't witness a helpless person getting pushed around by powerful people who aren't even obeying the same fucking rules.
I'll quit ranting one of these days. I can't say it's fine tho. It's not fine.
