That kind of stuff happens the world over including within the USA, but the big difference is that the Asians have way cooler cartoon characters. I don't know very many self-respecting men who would want to dress up as Sponge Bob square pants.   There are plenty of guys who, despite the tights will dress up as Superman & Spiderman tho.

Ha - yes, and another point is that the Asian chicks seem to look a hell of a lot better in costumes then your average American girl!
