An investor has labelled Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 'financially illiterate' for her role in destroying the Amazon deal which saw the retail giant pull out of New York.

Tracy Maitland, president and chief investment officer of Advent Capital Management, was speaking at an Al Sharpton conference in the city where AOC had herself earlier unveiled a radical 2020 victory plan for Democrats.

During a panel discussion Maitland said: 'The people campaigning against the Amazon campus are financially illiterate.'

He later told The New York Post: 'This was a disgrace. I partially blame AOC for the loss of Amazon. She doesn't know what she doesn't know. That's scary.

'We have to make sure she's better educated or vote her out of office.'

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blamed the migrant crisis on climate change Tuesday night, just hours after suggesting that the US would “have blood on our hands” if climate legislation — like her Green New Deal — doesn’t get passed.

“The far-right loves to drum up fear & resistance to immigrants,” tweeted the freshman congresswoman. “But have you ever noticed they never talk about what‘s causing people to flee their homes in the first place? Perhaps that’s bc they’d be forced to confront 1 major factor fueling global migration: Climate change.”

Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had been campaigning for her Green New Deal on Capitol Hill earlier in the day Tuesday and pushing for ways to combat climate change.

“I think what we have laid out here is a very clear moral problem,” she told House Oversight Committee members. “If we fail to act or if we delay in acting, we will have blood on our hands.”

Republicans have blasted Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal for being a “socialist” scheme that would likely cost way too much money. The New York lawmaker called out her critics during Tuesday’s congressional hearing.

“While I am incredibly flattered that the ranking member and many members across the aisle seem to be so enamored with a non-binding resolution presented by a freshman congresswoman sworn in three months ago, I think that ironically — despite that fixation — it doesn’t seem that they’ve actually read the contents of the proposed and presented resolution,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) applauded the boycott of The New York Post being organized by corner stores in the city following the tabloid’s front page cover calling out Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her comments about 9/11.

Omar has faced criticism this week for comments she made at a speech in March, notably from colleague Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) and President Donald Trump.

“CAIR was founded after 9/11, because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” she said, in comments that her critics said minimized the terror attacks.

The Post was scathing in its criticism of the congresswoman, slapping a photo of the attacks on its front page this week along with the headline: “Here’s your something… 2,977 people dead by terrorism.”

In response to the controversial cover, the Yemeni American Merchants Association (YAMA) announced a boycott of the Post, for what defenders of Omar decried as encouraging anti-Muslim sentiment.

After a major flap for driving Amazon out of New York City, something even socialist Mayor Bill de Blasio blamed her for, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is targeting another New York City business - the New York Post.

She's joining hands with a leftist newsstand seller group calling on all newsstand owners to quit selling the paper because she didn't like its cover story reminding New Yorkers that her congressional gal pal, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) was trivializing the worst terrorist attack on American soil -- which triggered its greatest damage in New York.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), whose 14th Congressional District is comprised of parts of the Bronx and Queens in New York City, is promoting a boycott of hometown paper the New York Post by an Arab Muslim merchant group outraged over the paper’s graphic April 11 front page attacking Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) over her dismissive comment about the September 11, 2001 Islamist terror attack, “Some people did something”.

So there she goes again, promoting another boycott of a New York business, trying to drive it out of business until it plays ball on her socialist perspective. Socialists always have been famous for their censorship and coercion. Ocasio-Cortez is no different.
