Question about citizenship and being president

(1/1)

ToxicAvenger:
lets see an american couple travel to scotland for thei honeymoon and the wife is prego..

and whoops she gives birth in scotland..now the baby wasn't born in the US..

can he still be prez?

Hugo Chavez:
imo I think they would let that person run. The issue has never come up.  But when it does, I'm almost sure they would not determine that a person born overseas to two US citizens could not run for president.

Tre:
The offspring of 2 U.S. citizens is a U.S. citizen regardless of where the conception and/or birth take place.

I was conceived in Hong Kong while my parents were on vacation.   :)

24KT:
Am I mistaken, ...but wasn't GWB born in Germany?

ToxicAvenger:
thanx for clearing that up mon ami!  :)
