Yeah, I just don't know I am buying into all the McGregor hype, I think he is a good fighter but maybe not on Aldo's level. I could be wrong, and all the hype tends to cloud objective reasoning, but Aldo is unbeaten in ten years for good reason and not because of good luck. Kind of reminds me of Chael Sonnen talking his way into a fight with Anderson Silva, like that fight I think maybe Connor can hang with Aldo, but when push comes to shove Aldo will have his number.
I am watching some of Aldo's past fights to try and be as objective as possible, thinking of maybe betting on the card this weekend.
I didn't at first, but he has made me a believer, from the first spinning kick in the mendes fight, Chad was hurting, he had Chad running near constantly, in the jose fight, chad stood in the pocket and ate shots, in some cases he almost looked dazed as he was standing straight up, like after the bell, jose gives him a 1-2 and he just eats with no attempt at defence.
With conor once he hits you with a shot another is coming down the pipe before you can react (like diaz), punches flowing from angles, half power with an occasional full power to throw off timing.
Watch the second round of the Max Holloway fight, watch his movement, he is much not going full speed almost ever, you can see how quick he actually is.
