They won't try to take guns suddenly. They know millions of police and citizens will die. It's a process that they are doing over generations. Each generation will own less and less guns until only a handful of people in the country own them. Then they will go in by force and take them from the remaining few. At that point they will be the only ones who own guns and the final dictatorship can be established by force. This is why it's important to vote down any and all proposed gun control laws. Even if the seem reasonable. Each time something new goes into effect, it's another baby step towards their end goal. None of this really matters much though as America is finished and will likely be reduced to a country nobody cares about after the Chinese take over the world. The next great white flight will be out of the country in my opinion. I suspect it's already beginning to happen to a small degree, but nobody is really talking about it.
