Yesterday:  5k + 2.6 mile ruck

Today:  5 x DB bench 12+ reps  / 5 x rope climb,  Monkey bar and grip work / 5k

Got the Challenge and Light back to back this weekend.  Have not done one of these in awhile - will see if my training changes have herlped or hurt.

I knew it would be.   You've been training insanely.

Saw others had foot problems - truthfully, i've gone away from what other's suggest and used Brooks cascadia sneakers.   Comfortable, supportive, and can handle wet.  Wool socks and that's it.

My cardio is off the damn hook right now - we had about a 2.5 mile ruck run at a really fast pace at the end and i was fine while others were really hurting.

Did 90 PU in 2 min

SU were at 50 - and that sucks.

Killingston.   No joke

After mile ten, they reinstated the "death march".   From the base of the mountain, 1 mile straight up a black diamond.  It's a complete mind fuck because you can see the trail of misery ahead of you the whole time.  The woods ascents are much easier because you're mostly focused on the path directly in front of you.

I got every obstacle, except one - you had to swim to the middle of a big lake (flotation device)  and climb a 15 foot rope ladder out to the base of the bridge.  Then it was five decently spaced thin ropes with a knot at the bottom under the bridge to the other side.   4 -5 feet after last rope was a bell hanging from a board that was attached to the bridge.  I got all the way across, didn't swing far enough, missed the bell.   But somehow got both hands back on the rope and hung there.  People were going nuts.  The rope then twisted and spun around and it took a bunch to spin.  Then I started trying to kip 4-5 times, and tried to kick the bell, and missed it by two inches and fell into the lake.  I was hanging on the ropes for awhile.

All good though.  Entire left thigh spasm/cramped like a guy when I got out of the cold water.......two mustard packets and an electrolyte gel got rid of it.

Sweet.  I might have to do a Beast at some point.  I just hate running w a passion.

Workout wise - been doing great w my routines.  Been adding in rucks on the weekends.  There are a few HTL's im looking at for next year and Kokoro.

I'm really interested to hear how Kokoro is.

Haven't been thinking about GR, but still have a free heavy credit with them.

I was going to be done with the Beast, but after seeing the times in the Open category, I think I can get top 10 in my age group.  If I went Sunday, I would have with my time, and I think the guy I did the event with cost me an hour.   I might take a shot solo next year.

PT session tomorrow to get things righted and have to actually join a gym (oh brother).

Don't really want to, but it's good every couple of years to right the ship and learn some stuff.
