Dude was a monster until he started having disc problems in 1990.  He had several back surgeries. 

After that he was still better than most but he just couldn't stay in the lineup.  They eventually made him a designated hitter and he pretty much stopped trying to steal bases.  Sad.

I worked out next to him at Gold's once. His treadmill was next to mine. ;D
