Most covid cases were spread at home
If you're youngish and single or a couple living together you probably wouldn't care about masking up or catching covid.
If you're a parent or live in a multi generational household you might have been more inclined to mask up thinking that you don't wanna make your parents or kids sick. Chances are though you'll catch covid at home from one your kids.
Cloth masks don't really help or make things worse

The data shows (pre and post SARS-COV-2) that masks of any kind are an ineffective NPI. They were never part of an airborne virus response plan because they don't work. Don't limit spread and don't prevent infection. And an N95 isn't a mask it's A fucking respirator and it's still not rated against airborne aerosolized viral pathogens.

KN95 are the cheap version of the N95 mask which is used in autobody repair shops to prevent workers from inhaling dust when sanding an automobile. somehow they became the way to prevent the spreading of Covid. a box of the masks that every shop had for their workers went from $15.00 to unfindable and sometimes as much as 10's the price. Gloves also skyrocketed in price if you could find them. And lets not forget people thought using the spray masks that car painters used to prevent overspray would be usefull ::)
