So no matter what you can't prevent it?....everyone that I know that runs long distance say that they eat a banana a day leading up to the race.
Had plenty of potassium and electrolytes. 2 liters of coconut water, bananas, etc.....still happened.
First one was left quad on 4th ascent up black diamond at original TM. If I stopped moving, it was agony. Punched it repeatedly - when I got to the top, it was gone.
Last one was after mile ten in left calf any time on an incline. Had to run "funny" to prevent it, then it stopped after a mile.
I'm not sure what to do, honestly. Cramping seems to be the thing that destroys a ton of people at these things. First one that I mentioned was on a mountain, and there were so many people cramped up.
