Can your dog do tricks?

(1/1)

Sit, stay and lay down are about it so far...

Well....sit, stay, fetch, down, shake hands, speak, sit pretty, crawl, roll over (he's not great at doing) etc....

Then again...we've had him in obedience & handling...so theres other things he's been taught for show.  He has to "stand" (Stacked) & not wiggle when being inspected (which is tough for him - lol).  In basic handling there's some sit & come...auto sit....finish on command & auto sit.  There's some also basic turning moves I am him do so he's always on the left.  He's pretty good at it no matter how many turns I do.

I've been teaching him other things for guard.  Simple things I say to him which makes him quiet & on alert.  I have 2 words that I use...& either one puts him in stealth/alert mode.

He's pretty smart...picks up things real quickly.  Still a puppy so there's days when he's had enough....he will just say "screw you" and won't do anymore - lol

Well, Rotties are like labs with the floppy ears....but they will raise their ears when something gets their attention.

You know for show...this is equally important.

So He really likes cats...wants to play & lick them....so when I say "kitty?" or "where's the kitty?" .....he automatically perks up.

When I take him on walks.....I talk to him.....tell him "what's that? or listen"....he automatically just stops everything (even panting) & goes into observe mode.  Otherwise....he will just plod around with no worries like he normally does.
