John Romano did his now thoroughly debunked "Where are the bodies?" HBO special in 2004; interestingly, 2004 waa the year of the first "chemical era" [1992 onward] bodybuilder death - Sonny Schmidt, who died at age 50.
I think pellius knew Sonny.
I have been following bodybuilder deaths EVERY YEAR since then, and 2021 has has the most bodybuilder deaths BY FAR.
As for blaming it on steroids - or higher doses of steroids:
Well Shhiieett!!! Because bodybuilders have never done that before, right?
