What are your thoughts on having a lot of tattoos and competing?

Currently at 6’2 256lbs.

Side is completely covered, full sleeve on arm, and starting another full sleeve on other arm at the end of this month. Is it worth even going on stage with this many tattoos (also have one on shin, upper back, traps) or is there tan color that can block these out?

Speaking as a Judge it will very likely affect your placing
As they ruin Muscle definition & Generally look like Black Burn Marks all over
With the Tan on.

Stage Make up would likely cover them up - Again I doubt that would aid
or enhance muscle Definition - Might be worth a Try.

There is some kinda base layer that can be used to cover up tattoos. It doesn't look great, but it does exist.

How much or your torso is covered in tats? You can get away with tattooed forearms, calves and to some extent arms. After that it becomes more of an issue.

My torso is covered from my armpit to just under my hip. It’s pretty dark but doesn’t cover abs.
I rarely see guys with two full sleeves and that was my main concern.

Not planning to get my back chest or legs covered.

I enjoy having them. It’s a different look once you start accumulating a lot and definitely another form of body dysmorphia.

I can understand why bodybuilders dislike them, but there are quite a few getting covered these days, however they usually aren’t olympia athletes or at that level.
