Taliban sitting on precious minerals we could have just bought.

Instead, we used military force to try to have women run everything, go to school, and make TikTok videos, and make the whole place accept sodomy.

Good going Americans! We’re a smart bunch!

But it's not just about obtaining it's about controlling.

And it wasn't about the minerals it was about strategic real estate between Russia and China.

Whatever the case is, Americans have been wrecking things for over 70 years.

The "Progressive" movement started right after Kennedy was shot. Figure on that one.

Yeah, there’s always some excuse to make money for the military contractors.

How many times  are people going to buy into worrying about the foreign bogeyman meanwhile the fucking country is rotting from within?

Remember when the Japanese were supposed to take over the world. What happened?

The angle is simply buying them without trying to force matriarchy and gay sex on the place.

That was an option too: simply taking and leaving. But as said, that wouldn’t require forcing sodomy and matriarchy on them.

The USA already has more lithium than it needs: https://raregoldnuggets.com/?p=5727  Bolivia is also a huge source of the material. So no- we don't need China or Afghanistan to get lithium. You also need cobalt to make these batteries work- and that is even harder to get.

To mine and extract lithium it takes 500,000 gallons of water for each ton of lithium produced. Good luck with that in a desert. The choice between drinking or using it for batteries is a very real issue. China is already experiencing ecological catastrophes in lithium
production: https://www.wired.co.uk/article/lithium-batteries-environment-impact

Expect lithium ion batteries to be replaced in the coming years with more powerful and longer lasting batteries such as  aluminum ion, sodium ion or even fluoride ion. They have higher power densities and use materials easily obtainable.

This is true for the US, it was about preventing further attacks on the US and they achieved that.

For China it is about obtaining and controlling without firing a single bullet. It has been a very successful strategy. They also offer incentives to assist in building infrastructure.

That's not what it was about.

Condoleezza a rice said it was about that.

The US went there directly after an attack on US soil. The US established an airfield in Afghanistan which gave them air access to many threat areas in the ME.

If it’s not for that, for reason did the US go there which just happened to coincide with the above events?

The Afghans didn't attack the World Trade Center, the Saudi's did.

The Neocons used it as an excuse to invade and establish bases in a strategic area in the Middle East between Russia and China.

Of course it sounded good on paper but there’s that little fly in the ointment of the people there not wanting you and having to fight an endless insurgency war.
