DOMS is a good thing, i don't see the big deal. I want it.

If you care:

-Train the muscle for shorter more intense periods of time but train more frequently. The best proven combo for gains is twice weekly per muscle.

-Hot shower/bath, massage help mitigate the symptoms not the cause.

-Adequate sleep and recovery.

I do fascial stretching for the muscle group I work out that day after the work out.  You can find information about it on numerous sites but Intensemuscle has some good info on DC methods for it.  I've found this has helped reduce DOMS quite a bit, especially in legs.  Your mileage may vary though.

Stretching.  I started to do a full stretching routine after my workouts and it has reduced the soreness of my muscles considerably.  Although, I must say at first the stretching alone made me sore because of my poor flexibility, but after a few weeks I got used to it and it really helps me now.

Yep.

Stretching has made a huge difference on the severity of DOMS i get now. It is minimal at best.
No doubt about it...

Rolling on a foam roller or pvc pipe at night seems to help me.

Why would you want to lessen it?!

I love it!

I don't find it a problem generally, with the exception of a couple times i've not trained calves for a while and then come back and hit them hard. Ended up walking around like i belonged in the special olympics

I enjoy the soreness.  I do believe that stretching is one of the best things to combat DOMS.  I believe I read once that alternating hot/cold showers will help reduce mitigate the intensity of your DOMS.

You have to get used to the exercise and habitually do it. That's the only real solution.
