Now it starts..... *FLIP*

 :)

That didn't take long.  What MAGAs need to realize is that by the time the feds haul you in for questioning, they already know and can corroborate all of the answers to every question that they ask you. It's merely a game at that point to see how honest you are going to be and whether they have any value in you.  By the time the feds bring an indictment, the case is already “won” by the evidence they have already gathered.  Why do you think their success ratio is above 90%?   hahahhaha

Prosecutors say witness in Trump's classified documents case retracted false testimony
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Prosecutors+say+witness+in+Trump%27s+classified+documents+case+retracted+false+testimony

A witness in the criminal case against Donald Trump over the hoarding of classified documents retracted “prior false testimony” after switching lawyers last month and provided new information that implicated the former president, the Justice Department said Tuesday.

The statements from the witness, a Trump staffer identified in court papers as the director of information technology at Mar-a-Lago, was presented to prosecutors weeks before special counsel Jack Smith secured an updated indictment accusing Trump and two others in a plot to delete surveillance video at the Florida property.

Prosecutors said in a court filing Tuesday that the witness told a grand jury in Washington in March that he could not recall any conversations about the security footage

But in July, after being warned by prosecutors that he was a target of the investigation and after being advised that his lawyer might have a conflict of interest because of his representation of others in the probe, the witness received a new attorney from the federal defender's office and provided the Justice Department with information that helped form the basis of the revised indictment against Trump, his valet Walt Nauta and a third defendant, Carlos De Oliveira, the court filing says.

Prosecutors described the witness interaction in a filing that seeks a hearing in Florida about potential conflicts of interest involving the defense lawyer, Stanley Woodward, who also represents Nauta. Woodward declined to comment Tuesday to The Associated Press.

“The target letter to Trump Employee 4 crystallized a conflict of interest arising from Mr. Woodward’s concurrent representation of Trump Employee 4 and Nauta,” prosecutors wrote.

They added: “Advising Trump Employee 4 to correct his sworn testimony would result in testimony incriminating Mr. Woodward’s other client, Nauta; but permitting Trump Employee 4’s false testimony to stand uncorrected would leave Trump Employee 4 exposed to criminal charges for perjury.”

In the filing, the Justice Department also sought to explain its use of grand juries in both Washington and Florida, where charges were ultimately filed. U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, a Florida judge presiding over the case, had earlier asked about the legal propriety of using grand juries in both districts.

Prosecutors said they continued using the Washington grand jury even after charges were filed in Florida for the express purpose of investigating potential false statements by witnesses in Washington. The Washington grand jury completed its term last week, they said.

A trial has been set for May 20, 2024, in the classified documents case. Trump has pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing.

Trump is facing another prosecution by Smith, over efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, as well as a criminal case in Georgia over attempts to subvert that state's vote and another in New York in connection with hush money payments to a porn actor.

Don't act surprised.   Before you start in with the whining, lying, distraction, deflection, denial, TDfS, off topic replies and TV static... just remember that it was already foretold and generally accepted by Those Who Dwell In Reality.   ;)

Anyway …….  Back to thread topic.

Why would His Orangeness want security tapes deleted?  If he is innocent he would want the security tapes intact because they would show he did nothing wrong.  Right?  RIGHT?    Deleting evidence is exactly what every innocent person would try to do.  These people flipping faster than Tiddlywinks.   :D

Mar-a-Lago IT boss says Trump wanted CCTV footage deleted as he 'flips' on former president
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Mar-a-Lago+IT+boss+says+Trump+wanted+CCTV+footage+deleted+as+he+%27flips%27+on+former+president

A Mar-a-Lago IT worker who is named as an accomplice of Donald Trump has flipped on the former president.

Yuscil Taveras, a key witness, has recanted evidence absolving Mr Trump of participating in efforts to delete security footage in the mishandling classified documents case.

The allegation that Mr Trump was involved in tampering with the footage before it was handed over to the FBI is part of the 40-charge indictment brought by Jack Smith, the US special prosecutor.

Mr Taveras, who worked as IT director at Mr Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, had told prosecutors he could not recall any conversations about the footage.

He has now provided “information that implicated” Mr Trump and two other defendants “in efforts to delete security camera footage”.

It came after Mr Taveras, who is identified in court documents as “Trump Employee 4”, switched lawyers having been told he was facing the threat of being charged with perjury.

Mr Taveras is now no longer being represented by Stanley Woodward, an attorney being paid for by Mr Trump’s political action committee.

Mr Trump has been accused of endangering national security by removing the files from the White House and storing them in “a ballroom, a bathroom and shower”.

The papers reportedly contained sensitive information about the nuclear and military capabilities of the US and foreign powers. It is alleged that Mr Trump and two employees deleted security footage before it was handed over to the FBI.

Mr Trump has said he declassified the documents while he was president and before they were transferred to Mar-a-Lago. The assertion is a key element of the former president’s defence.

But earlier this week it emerged that Mark Meadows, Mr Trump’s chief of staff at the White House, told prosecutors that he did not recall the former president “ordering, or even discussing, declassifying broad sets of classified materials before leaving the White House”.

Mike Pence, the former vice president who is running for the Oval Office, appeared to echo Mr Meadow’s version of events.

“I was never made aware of any broad-based effort to declassify documents. There is a process that the White House goes through to declassify materials, I’m aware of that occurring on several occasions over the course of our four years,” he told the ABC TV network.

He added: “But I don’t have any knowledge of any broad-based directive from the president. But that doesn’t mean it didn’t occur, it’s just not something I ever heard about.”

Mr Trump has already pleaded not guilty to fraud charges linked to hush money allegedly paid to Stormy Daniels, a former porn actress. He has also denied charges brought by Mr Smith following a detailed investigation of the attempt to overturn the result of the 2020 presidential election.

Earlier this week it was announced that he has been charged with 11 felonies linked to his attempt to overturn the election result in the state of Georgia in 2020.
