Even Mentzer said he wouldn't be upset if Dickerson won. Dickerson was coming in first or second in every contest he entered in 78,79 and 80.

Exactly, at the time no one seemed to have a problem with Chris having momentum winning left and right and being the favorite to dethrone Zane.

It was right before the beginning of his epic Hollywood run. To the other competitors it was the most memorable event of their lives going up against Arnold. To him it was an afterthought.

Fact: they (those pro's who say Arnold wasn't top 5) were all standing next to him on stage , not in front watching him pose, that's where things change a little bit .

I agree, Arnold sucks in those pictures by himself (specially compared with his 1974 shape )

However, it is when he is compared to the rest of line up that he looks like the winner....
here things go south to everyone next to Arnold even him being the further from camera
