Quarterbacks and pitchers aren't allowed to do much lifting during their pro careers because of shoulder flexibility.  After retirement some of them go ape shit on the weights.  Brady Quinn is an NFL example.

Tom Brady, Peyton Manning Drew Brees didn't lift upper body either.  I was using an example of a QB who is now jacked.

I once caught a football thrown to me by Tom Brady in 2007 during pre game warm ups when he was signing auto graphs just before the game against the Dallas Cowboys
