For whatever reason, this thread has died ever since the old one was removed...the old one was always on fire...what's the deal?

Anyway, like Rim said, "get weird."

...I'll try to come up with something.

I completely limped through my workout this morning. I'm so sunburnt that I can't lean against anything. Workout was not up to par today at all.  :P

On a side note I got poked by something while swimming in a lake the other day (no not an inject) & I think it's infected  :-\ Going to the doctor later to check it out.

tweaked my knee on the leg press on sunday morning.  Was feeling good and strong, was using the flex leg press which i like a lot was going nice and deep, but not too deep, I like to stop when my back just starts to roll up, cause have hurt my back on the LP before.  so was getting below parallel though.  good warm up 1 plate per side up each set, may have jumped up 2 at 4 or 5 plates or so.  8 plates PS felt super light pumped out 12 easy held back some cause i was thinking about hitting 11 PS which on that machine with a full ROM is HEAVY for me (205 Lbs)  well i start the set with 9 plates PS and it was going nice and smooth then about rep 3 my knee starts to feel hot and a twinge of pain sets in.  I racked it and that was it for LP, did some light extensions with no real pain.

Have hurt it before much worse, just some tightness today.  was bummed though cause I love to train legs hard and it kills me to back off.  But as a guy who i used to train with said, "live to train another day" One of the best things i learned with him is if you injure yourself in the gym stop doing that exercise and back off, you will heal up quicker and not do any further damage.

Exellent advice. I hurt my back pretty bad doing leg presses about twelve years ago - just warming up.

On a side note every gym injury I've ever had has been while warming up.  :'(

Stopping immediatly when it is the wrong feel is precious.
I wanted heavy Benchs Sunday, but I had a odd tweak deep in my outer peck I couldnt work or rub out,
So screw it! Find what dont hurt it. Inclines and back and BI. Nice work out.
No injury. Sore as hell today, but its a good sore.

Yes i have! i have done all the PT as hard as possible. i'm in week 9 of PT and i'm doing stuff that they usually won't have you do until 16 weeks. i take everything to the limit.

i had a full ACL tear, everything else was in good shape, i have some pics from inside my knee during surgery. i need to scan them.

Luo - it's part of my PT to get the knee back into top condition. i like to play sports but i hate running for no reason. i prefer to swim for cardio but i enjoy a good game of basketball or soccer.

Im gonna look into putting up a bunch of photos where I can let nonJACKASSES  take a look.

Overload, I am so jealous. I would move out to the sticks in a heatbeat, instead I am stuck in yuppie ville suburbia.

I have a "summer house" up in Wisconsin on 75 acres but the town population in 219 and I would have to take a 6 figure cut in annual pay to live out there.

Maybe thats where I will retire, or out in AZ somewhere between Phoenix and Flagstaff.

I'd show you guys a pic of my house, but all you need to do is look in any new subdivision and you could see it.

They are all the same out here.

Good Tomatoes go for a little less than gold up here in winter.

PT -Ca$h only! ;)  I dont know. Do the gyms get on you about it?
I never remember seeing a comercial gym trainer worth listening to.
Good luck, actualy, in the suburbs by the spendy housing developments would be a good target for lots of mid and older ladies with bucks.

1. Don't get too friendly with you're clients.

2. Plan ahead what you are going to do/have them do.

3. Explain to them, that you only get as much as you put in.

4. Tell them that this is a journey, not a destination...

Theres a small club near me, like I describe. It'd be a good sort to try to mine. Lots of those older folks are real serious about changing their bodies. They have money to spend. Liability is a issue that comes to mind here now to.
Prob is its so damn expensive to do Biz above board in the US and getting worse by the minute.

I have always had injuries here and there throughout my training career. See a chiro 2 x week just to keep my back from locking up. If I lag and do not go to him for a few months, pain and tightness always comes back. Might have something to do with going thru a windshield when I was 19.

4 weeks ago, I tore my quad doing 600lbs on the Hack. Was feeling strong, weight was light and did not even feel it happen until my first set on the next exercise, front squats. Stopped as I knew something was wrong. Next day, pool of blood down by my teardrop. Ultrasounded it and was back doing legs yesterday for the first time, light, and no pain today!!

I have plenty of scars too, worst one is in the back of my head. I got it from defending my home from a bunch of wanna-be-ganstaz...

Trust me, they got theirs too...
BIG TIME!

Had a pretty good day today, finally i have a few days off, i got paid, i had a nice steak dinner and won some money at the Casino...

This past weekend was insane, i had to throw out junkies from the bar all night long... Tonight a friend of mine took my shift and Metallica is in town so there's going to be plenty of hassle at metal bar.

You going to the show? Metallica is my favorite band and I've still never seen them which sucks...it's just never worked out.
On another note, but on the metal thing, something I've never understood...why is it that metal is so much bigger on your side of the world then it is here in the states? Besides bands like Metallica, Europe puts out most of the top metal bands and it seems to be much more mainstream there. Bands like Bodom seem to get much more out of the whole deal over there then here...at least that's what it looks like to me...it's just something I've never understood.
