« on: August 26, 2016, 01:05:08 PM »
Republicans are so worried about voter fraud, yet they're the ones always caught doing it.

Trump campaign chief Steve Bannon is registered voter at vacant Florida home

Steve Bannon moves Florida voter registration to home of Breitbart writer

TL;DR:

Bannon owns two properties in So Cal, a condo in LA, and a house in Laguna Beach.  He spends a lot of time in NYC and DC.  It does not appear he has ever lived in FL. His ex wife does live in FL, but not at the house he was registered to vote.  Florida does not tax unearned income (interest, dividends, royalties, etc).  California does.  Making it appear that he lives in FL may be him trying to avoid state taxes.

So, he owns the house but hasn't stayed in it for 3 months?  Also, can you highlight where he or Anne was found guilty.  I'm not seeing it.  It rather differs from the cases of deceased people casting votes, voter intimidation from groups like the black panthers, or one person voting under another person's name.

You've basically linked 2 examples of people convicted of nothing. How.does that qualify for "always caught doing it".  We are gonna need you to link at least 1 actual case before you claim it happens all the time

I do agree that there has not been a conviction against the above individuals....but I think the what the thread is grying to convey is that you can't throw stones in public if your own house isn't in order......

People who have multiple homes and travel a lot often do forget to change the residence address on the voter registration forms or to fill out new ones.....so it may not be criminal...nothing wrong with that......at the same time the government RARELY prosecutes people who are shown to have willfully committed voter fraud so lack of a conviction may not show that someone had an evil intention all along

I just think that people should make sure they are in compliance before talking about others....although they do have every right to.
