record high heat? due to what historical records? we only been recording earths temperature since the 1850s....earth has been in existance much longer then only 167 years of human measurement records.

I'm on the fence about whether or not we have any blame for rising temperatures, but what's the downside of getting away from fossil fuels and starting to focus on renewables? And this from a guy who probably buys more diesel fuel than all members of this board combined.
