why do we want to install democracies?
« on: March 04, 2008, 02:56:02 AM »
It was once the thing that we preferred to install dictators who answered to us.  Now we've moved away from that and we want democracies.  Is it because the democracies are easier to control than a dictator that might run off coarse?  If so, what does this say about elected representative governments including our own?

some say a democracy is simply a dictatorship disguised with a nicely controlled democratic "process" or election.  That 's just CT talk tho.
