This didn’t start with his presidency. He was extremely inaccessible during his campaign and his fake campaign stops. He never spoke to local reporters. That’s why the press liked Buttigieg, because he actually spoke to them and took questions.
Expect to see this time and time again as this administration is essentially a team with no head coach so every decision is made by committee.

The issue here is the inability of people to concede a point.
The lack of access to the President compared to the previous one is an easy one to admit, even if you're a Biden supporter.
