If it was the lead story, ...it might have given some people the mistaken impression that things aren't really as rosy, and as secure in Iraq as they are. I mean... people might start to wonder, ...if insurgents can easily penetrate parliament, how much of a target are our boys over there who are out in the "badlands"?

BTW - Wasn't the Green Zone the area Toxie was offered a job, ...and assured he'd be safe?

I heard speculation that it might not have been one bomber, but actually explosives set in a number of strategic locations... to shoddy workmanship etc., All sorts of theories... but one thing is for sure... there are companies making a fortune here. Remember those 2 british soldiers who were captured in a car with bombmaking materials, then BROKEN OUT of prison, early in the iraqi conflict?  Lots of photos of their rescue team getting fcked up, including one unlucky guy in the tank.  They were creating terror to create a divide.  And it's still happening.
