Will he talk about his mutated myostatin null genes?

Yeah I figured Wheeler would leave MD sooner or later.  Maybe he can talk about how he got Shawn Ray a contract at MD and later Shawn would pull a typical Shawn move

Looks like Flex got his ass fired.  His superior journalism skills couldn't carry him through ::)

so is he OFFICIALLY parted ways with MD??

if so, you could really see that coming, md signing all those athletes in the second half of last year, then his sudden unceremonious departure from the radio show?

best BB genetics ever by the way, there is really something to be said when you can be on of the top 5 in the world at something only giving about 85%

Ronnie's genetics are better.

If you're really myostatin null, you can probably do curls with a barbie doll and have 20" arms

he was not myostatin null, that was just hype and bullshit....he shrinks into a small, soft dude when he gets off the juice just like everyone else

when i talk about his genetics, i mean he had arguably the best structure ever, and who knows where he could have taken his physique if he had a ronnie-like work ethic, if he actually trained hard all the time, if he dieted better, and if he did not get sick, we can only speculate

he was not at his best since 93 (and some would argue that his legendary 93 arnold physique was still only at 85 or 90% of his best, he glutes and hams were actually pretty soft for that show)

, yes he put on a lot more mass in the years following, but he never brought things together even close to 100% ever again

and he was STILL top five in the world consistently, giving 85%......to me, that is impressive

Maybe the reasoning is not quite correct, but we all speak of the pros being genetically gifted, so what does that really mean?

You've probably read that thing will Victor Conte doing that university study on him. He claims that (non ad verbatim) flex has an unusual number of muscle fibers,  a rare myostatin mutation, and  an "unusual type of the IGF-1 gene".

Eventually science will explain why the average joe can't become a comparable Mr. U or O.

Will Flex tell the truth?

Will Flex blame Shawn Ray for taking care of business and getting him fired from the radio show, and ultimately the magazine?

Will Flex blame himself for not being the best radio co-host on the radio?

Does Flex still talk to Shawn Ray, or has another beautiful relationship gone away?

do you think when  flex asked shawn if he fucked him over shawn just attributed it to "the business of bodybuilding"???

good point tendonitis... I remember Flex promising to tell the whole 'ninjas' story about 2 years back.  I never heard it though.  Ask him if he was really attacked, Bob.  If he truly wants to go 'on the record', he'll come clean with it.
Title: Flex Wheeler Stands by his "Ninja Attack" Story of '97!
Post by: 240 is Back on April 05, 2010, 08:12:50 PM
On PBW Bob and Dan pressed Flex to come clean about his famous Ninja Carjacking story that kept him from the 97 Olympia.  Flex stands by the story and says nobody would believe him even if he decided to change his story.  So he's sticking to his story, after 13 years!

So, is that Kenny’s way of saying that what really happened is less believable than the ninja tale, or that people wouldn’t believe anything he said after telling a story about ninjas?

there were three interesting questions asked during the interview

what happened in 97?

whats going on with md?

how do you feel about nasser's statements?

and flex fucking deflected all of them, just glossed the questions right over

The thought provoking analysis was making you think he was gonna say something new. I learned more from his 2 part interview in MuscleMag back in 98 or 99 and his "book", than anything new he has to say...

In his interview he said someone higher up at Weider said that Flex was too busy effing his wife to come in shape (not sure if it was for the 97 Mr. O or not). But htere was whole lot of stuff that he talked about which wasn't in his book. About how he knows 5 diff schools of MA,etc

Torn lat, tri, bi or something else is what he would have ended up as. He already has torn a bi and I believe a pec as well.

It was really interesting hearing Perrine talk about Ferrigno. It really put a different aspect to how different bodybuilding could have been if he didn't retire.

I Googled "ninja babe," and all I could find was this:
