So here's the dilemma. Turkey day and a big family get together. I'd like to bring a better bottle of bourbon and enjoy it with family. problem is that there will probably be cousin in laws and such that I only see once or twice a year who I have no contact besides the holidays. not close and don't feel the need to be with them....I can see them swilling down my booze >:(

....what to do ???

Bring a $40-50 bottle.  If they drink it, you look good for short money.

I was well behaved. I had a couple of beers, a glass of wine, and a few small glasses of bourbon but it was over 6-7 hours.

I didn't drink after that - I was fine.....just got real tired on trip to the next house.

If they get the offense clicking they are going to be serious contenders.

That return was ridiculous, but I worry about injury with him on those.   They need quicker passes, and to utilize all three threats at WR.

My holiday party was in an awesome location, but having been to a million of these things, had a couple beers, went home too.

It's actually 12 they don't make a 13...duh :-\
Yes it's the best bourbon I've ever tasted{I've never had the 20 or 23year}but the problem is finding it at the right price when it comes out.
The 12 sells for $90.00 but secondary market for it starts at least $500 >:(

Yeah, but you won't get it.

This was the "splurge" bourbon years ago, when it listed at $100.  My go to was Eagle Rare 17 that was about 36-40 bucks, and was excellent too.

Then bourbon became a "thing", hipsters, bullshit etc and let to scarcity, and now anything over Pappy 10 is $1000 bucks a bottle or more, and even the 10 is pretty rare.  Even Eagle Rare 17 is 800 bucks and I can't ever find it.

Now, it's about finding the next bourbon like Pappy, or finding value in others that are made at the same distilleries.   I've been able to do that, but nothing comes close to Pappy.
