Taylor vs. Pavlik tomorrow
« on: September 28, 2007, 05:38:12 PM »
I've been looking foward to this fight for a while now,  Pavlik is a game opponent and his aggresiveness should make the fight entertaining win or lose, and the good thing is, the judges shitty eyesight shouldn't be a factor.  Should hold me over till Barrera/Pacquaio.

heart says Pavlik but my head says Taylor

I'm hoping pavlik can pull it off just to pump some excitement into the division because if he lose's  it's probably back to ESPN for him

Pavlik is still a young, undefeated fighter, I think he can afford the loss more that Taylor can.  Taylor, while still being undefeated, is coming off two lackluster decision wins, and the draw with Winky.  Taylor really can't afford to lose, if he does, his plans to move up to 168 may be comprimised and so will his chance to get at Calzaghe or Kessler. (the word is, this is supposed to be last fight at 160 if he wins)

I dunno.....bernard moved up to 175 coming off the 2 loses to taylor and made some good money beatin tarver,Taylors got a big enough name to make a huge fight in europe regardless of what he does tonight....

but you're right if taylor does win it'll probably enhance things a little more

I can't believe how the judges had Taylor so far ahead on the cards.  Go figure.

Yeah these are good guys. I agree, very good for boxing. A trilogy would be legendary if they make it happen like I think they will.
