As noted earlier today here on the website and on TNAWrestlingNews.com, former WWE Women's Champion Mickie James is expected to sign a contract with TNA Wrestling today — if she hasn't already. Those close to the situation have indicated that James would finalize her contract today, but additional details are not available at press time. It appears as though the two sides have definitely agreed to a verbal deal though.

Despite her release from World Wrestling Entertainment earlier this year and simultaneous foray into the country music world, James continued her wrestling career as she has appeared on numerous independent shows since that time.

According to one source, James is expected to debut in October, likely at the October 7th live TNA iMPACT! or the October 10th TNA Bound For Glory PPV.

More as we get it.

We just found out that Timmy has off saturday. Turns out the Federation is at MSG the same day. They didn't have 1st row but got 4th with luck. Cool part is when I was leaving MSG after buying the tickets I cut through Barnes and Noble for a short cut. They had a big sign saying Bret is gonna be there for a book signing saturday from 4-7. Saturday is gonna be such a great great day! I am thrilled about this. I cannot wait to meet the Hitman.

That's awesome, brother.
Should be a good time; Garden shows seldom disappoint!

I'll wait in line all day just to get to shake the Hitmans hand. I cannot wait to thank him for a life time of entertainment. My Brother is gonna probably start crying when he meets him! We're gonna party hardy come saturday night!

Good stuff!

Some WM notes...

When The Undertaker vs. Sheamus match was talked about for WrestleMania 27, the idea of having it as a title unification match was not discussed. It was just a match talked about for WrestleMania and the discussion over who would be champions then wasn't talked about. We're guessing it'll be a match for the streak as of this writing.

As noted earlier, there was talk several weeks ago about unifying all the WWE titles. The idea was the unify for IC and U.S titles around Survivor Series and then possibly the WWE and World titles around WrestleMania. Please note that nothing is confirmed as of this writing though and MANY details still need to be worked out before anything is set in stone

They have too many belts.
When half the roster has one, they mean about half as much.

All territory titles used to have prestige.
Now, they're about as common to a wrestler's attire as his boots or trunks.

And I hate it. All the need is 4 titles. WWE championship, Intercontinental, Tag title & womens title. 1 roster. Thats it, thats all.

I wouldn’t call them “good.”
 ;)

He's seems like one of those guys who “lives” his gimmick (character).
Although, I suspect much of that depends on who he’s around.
When it was just him & me, the “show” wasn’t bad.
But, once he was around all of his old ECW buddies, his act was greatly amplified.

New Jack’s biggest mark is New Jack.

ALL women are majorly screwed up.
It's just that varying amounts manifest at any given moment.

Some Cena notes:

The possibility of turning John Cena heel has been discussed much more seriously than in the past, according to sources.

Vince McMahon made it clear when the idea was previously broached that it would not even be considered due to the tremendous amount of revenue Cena draws via merchandise. While there doesn't appear to be any firm plan in place, McMahon has since changed his tune on the subject as he is now open to listening to suggestions.

Meanwhile, accoring to another source, there is 'strong talk' of a turning Cena heel come WrestleMania season.

Some WWE creative news...

WWE's creative department has not been spending as much time with Vince McMahon as they have in the past. It is said that a lot of work is being done via e-mail as opposed to actual meetings.

In related news, the majority of the creative writers are said to be pleased that Stephanie McMahon is out on maternity leave.

"It's one less hurdle," said a company source. "Plus, Vince isn't as tense when she's not around."

Shouldn't they change their name to the uncreative department?

Wonder why he would be "tense" with his daughter there.

Undertaker news....

WWE has discussed tying the 20th anniversary of the debut of The Undertaker character with November's Survivor Series. One of the ideas being discussed is a Buried Alive Match between The Undertaker and Kane. There has been talk of it being 'Taker's final run with the company and they wanted him to conclude his career with his longtime manager, Paul Bearer, by his side.

I just came across this on WWE.com, but there is an interview conducted by Joey Styles.
He interviews Mick Foley and they talk about his "Countdown to Lockdown" book, as well as various other topics.
This is the first time a current TNA star has been openly displayed on WWE.com.  Mick Foley's picture is also one of the main page images as well.

The link for the interview is the following: http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/countdownwithfoleypage1

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE will not be airing a Tribute to the Troops special this year.
The reason is because WWE's live events schedule has been shuffled around so much that scheduling a Troops show this year would be impossible.

There is talk of holding a domestic tribute show that would be held at a military base somewhere in the U.S, but that has not been confirmed.
