Playboy is lame , Penthouse always had me cracking my shit off when I was a 10 yo old boy and used to steal those mags from Dad 
Whateva! Penthouse shows pink, and as everybody know Penthouse is and pretty much still is for the skanky girls that can't get into Playboy. Most chicks that pose in Penthouse are strippers and hookers, or trying to get into porn.
For years Playboy had tried to sell the image of either the girl next door, or the unobtainable vixen, that unless you were a debonair "gentleman" wearing a ascot and a leisure robe, you couldn't pull. Playboy also featured attorneys, doctors, cop, etc. What st them apart was the marketing, they marketed a image, and practically branded it. Penthouse's image is that of the hooker/stripper sort. That's probably why you liked that as a kid.
Now here is the shit kicker, because of Playboy, it brainwashed many men of society that they needed a perfect 10, and to get them, you go to Playboy. Penthouse on the otherhand was the "For a good time call..." type of chicks, and that is how they marketed it.
But, on the real I liked the old 70's-early 90s Players Magazine (the black version of Playboy), Buf magazine back when it was about breasts and not fat chicks, and the 70s Huslter magazines.
Favorite chicks from Playboy are Ola Ray (the girl in Thriller) and Renee Tenison, who beat out Pam Anderson for Playmate of The Year, Which pissed Pam off and she went and got implants.
