Beth Phoenix VS Melina ---  Melina won the Womens Title
JBL VS John Cena --- John Cena Retained The World Title
Edge VS Jeff Hardy ( no DQ ) Edge won the WWE Title when Matt Hardy turned heel and cost Jeff the Title.

The Royal Rumble Match ---No. 1 Rey Mysterio No. 2 John Morrison .  The last 6 came down to Orton, Dibiase, Rhodes, HHH, Big Show, and The Undertaker. Undertaker threw out Big Slow, and Big Slow pulled taker with him. Leaving HHH by him self with The legacy. HH threw out Dibiase, and Rhodes. Then Randy Orton eliminated HHH to win The Rumble.

Also RVD was surprise entry

Tomorrow, Sunday, January 25th, is the Royal Rumble, which will take place at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan with the following announced lineup:

 

- World Heavyweight Champion John Cena vs. JBL, with Shawn Michaels in his corner.
- WWE Champion Jeff Hardy vs. Edge.
- Women's Champion Beth Phoenix vs. Melina.
- ECW Champion Jack Swagger vs. Matt Hardy.

 

- The 30-Man Royal Rumble, with the winner receiving a title match at Wrestlemania.  Currently, there are seven spots left open in the match.  Here are the current participants:

- Ted DiBiase

My predictions


Jack Swager will beat Matt Hardy
Molina will beat Bev Phoenix
Edge will Beat Jeff Hardy
Cena will Beat JBL

Orton or Triple H will win the Rumble.



What they should have done is Matt Hardy Win The Rumble Jeff retain the title and the face off at wrestlemainia

I'm not sure about Edge vs Hardy.  I think there's a good chance that Hardy will retain it, after all this bad luck angle they've done, I think he'll 'overcome the odds' and keep the belt.
The unknown factor in this match is who's responsible for the accidents.  There's been a lot of speculation about Christian Cage returning, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him appear, either in this match, or in one of the remaining Rumble slots.

Very much a WWE cookie cutter opener of a wrestling match there - did what it needed to do but nothing to write home about.

Well I didn't see that coming.  Not until Matt sent Jeff out for a second chair did I think something was up.  Definitely shocked. 

I was glad to see RVD return though.  Hasn't he been over in Japan since he left WWE?

Hes been working in Europe a bit and also in Japan but with his wife been diagnosed with Cancer a bit a go he scaled down his schedule considerably. Possibly coming to the UK in April but his asking price is big so we will see.
