In Obama's best year, we averaged 250K jobs per month. In Trump's, I think it was 193K. Let's see where things are this fall. Actually, January of 2022 will give us the best indication of how things are going.

I've said before we are headed to the same conclusion economically because it cannot be avoided. I thought we had 4 more years before willful destruction of what was left of capitalism - but I have been getting ready well before Trump ran for office. There is no way of fully mitigating what is coming but you can decrease your exposure.
The primary reason I pay attention to politics is economic(and entertainment I suppose), but social issues are being used to obscure a massive transfer of wealth from the boomers as they age out.

They were only about 800,000 jobs short of projections. This is what happens when you pay people to stay home and don't require them to pay their rent. I've heard interviews of numerous business owners who are having trouble filling job openings. One thing we did not have during the Trump Administration was a problem with the labor participation rate.

Here where i live in NM, they had to pay delivery drivers 50% more just to have staff.
If it weren't for all the college kids here, most of our fast food restaurants and retail services would be understaffed or closed.
There is a famous Native American jewelry shop here that closed for over a month. When people found out, several retired people applied to work there just so it would open again. That's pretty wild to think about.
There was a Subway that closed for 3 weeks because it literally had zero staff, just the owner and his wife.
Local pizza delivery took a major hit too. The Mayor even said if the high school and college kids would not have stepped up, the pizza places would have stopped delivering.
