Not only that regarding quantity.  Who is motivated to train hard and who are the slackers in the 11 people? We all know guys that push them self and those that go through the motions in the gym.

Yeah well, HIT is meant to be employed every 4-7 days not  within a typical train protocol. Used in the correct way, it's safe and the most effective assuming nutrition, rest and training are optimum.

If it is the only program you enjoy and will keep you training then do it but it is not optimal. Numerous studies have been done proving high frequency training is better especially for natties.

Say you have identical triplets and they all go on a different training program.
1) trains chest one day a week on Monday (international chest day) and does 9 sets.

2) trains chest every other day for 3 sets (9 total for the week). Not to failure but fatigue.

3) trains chest to failure 1 set once or twice a week.

Number 2 will get the best results.
