Government takeover of entire industries, which smothers the profit motive, stifles innovation, and causes shortages.
Canada, population 37M, has fewer MRIs than the city of Pittsburgh, population 302K.

I wouldn't consider Canada socialist, its absolutely a hybrid with the foundation being capitalist. You could call it a democratic socialist country but its not by definition a socialist country.
Profit motive is bad in some areas of course. I am not against capitalism per se but it has some serious flaws which will only get worse.

Socialism as I understand it seeks to eliminate private ownership of the means of production. The factories, land, and resources used to create goods and services. Instead, these are controlled collectively by the state or community.
Is this how you define socialism? I've seen arguments on here about terms like socialism and communism that rage on for pages and pages with no clear resolution.
If you agree with this definition, then I believe socialism is inherently flawed. By removing private ownership, it stifles innovation, competition, and the drive to work hard. It restricts my freedom to own land, start a business, or build wealth. This undermines the incentives that fuel progress and personal ambition.
