I always went with Magnums much better than our issued boots in most cases if running. If living out in the field then not but for your purposes i think good.

Correct - I did a few events in them - no issues whatsoever.

Takes time to break in any shoe or boot.   I have been using my Bates 922's for awhile - took awhile to break them in - but now they are like a glove.

This is true and important. Soul Crusher is more up to date than me on Boots as he does these events but it´s very true that "planing and preparation" is important...get your choice of Boots well before hand and break them in. Also think coating them to waterproof them as much as possible before your event and socks and sole liners too. Nothing worse than your foot sliding in a boot and causing abrasions. The heels are the worst. Tape them  ;)

I've probably logged 50 miles with the rucksack on my Salomon Pro 3Ds.....assuming that should be enough time to break them in.  I think it's just the fit.  I will probably grab some Moab's.

Goruck ain't cheap.   ;D

Here is a good site w some great prices.   Grape - still think the Merrell Moabs might work for you.

At the end of that day though - its really about how hard you trained.

I'm getting the Moabs.  I can wear them around normally if they don't work.

I still highly suggest doing a C or L beforehand

On day 2 of the program.

 10. sets.   10 pull ups.   10 jumping jacks  20 squats  20 lunges

2 miles ruck w 40 lbs   15 min pace

5 sets.  10 pull ups. 20 squats. 20 kettle bell swings  20 lunges.
Abs

1 miles ruck 40 lbs 15mn pace

Ok, for some reason, I tried this insanity last night.  Soul Crusher must be in insane condition.

This is one of those workouts while in the second set I felt like there was no chance once the lunges kicked in after squats.  But you just press on and eventually you get there.  Here's a few notes:

 - I knew I couldn't do that many pullups.  Did normal ones first couple sets, then split them with band assistance, then went to TRX row.
-  Rucks were fine (44 lbs) - in fact 2 miler I did @14:27 pace and 1 miler @ 13:35 - did some of that shuffle stuff - shins are a bit sore now.
- added 50 yd bear crawl after first ruck with weight on

Can you post more of these = curious as to what he puts there for day 3?

Were you able to do ALL 10 pull ups on ALL 10 sets?

No.  Usually last few sets have to break it up into 2 sets of 5

Good job anyway!..at least you're honest when talking about your workouts not like some of the other "supermen" on here.

Made up my own workout today.

5.81 Mile run @ 44:55  (7:44 min mile)

3.2   Mile ruck (44 lb)  @ 45:33 (14.2 min mile)

Stew Smith ladder -start with one pullup, 2 pushup, 3 situp, no rest, then 2 pullup, 4 pushup, 6 situp.....keep going until you cant, increasing pullup by 1 pushup 2, situp 3.....I went to step six and it was the fucking situps that were the hardest......I think I could have gone to 7/14 on the others, but the idea of another 21 situps after all that shit was enough.

Oh yeah, also did 10 pushups with rucksack after ruck......my right shoulder is fucked.

Yesterday:

7 sets DB bench  15,8,5,5,5,5,5  superset with Atomik Bomb pullups x 5, full second pause at top and bottom, 5 seconds hold at end.

6.56 mile run @ 51:30   7:51 min mile.  Felt sluggish.

Company party last night, going to really have to rally to do something today.   Might just ruck.
