Good draw for Liverpool.

It is pretty hard to pick a side to win this, no clear favourites at all.

Yeah i agree, if liverpool win we get the winners of the chelsea v valencia tie, and the winner of the Man Utd game gets the winner of the AC Milan game, incase this helps to shed any light on the way its gonna go

Liverpool and Man Utd are the only teams I would bet on going through. The other ties I don't know.  All English semi-final would be great, are repeat of 2005.  All English Final would be even better, Utd verses Liverpool, that would be a fantastic occasion!

I think Man Utd will win the whole thing.

The way they're playing at the moment and taking into account the potential of the opposition they could go all the way. I don't know why people are rating Liverpool - I think they were lucky against Barca earlier in the week. I'm bitter tho - gutted Celtic didn't get through.  :(

Liverpool played Man Utd off the pitch last Saturday, but Utd nicked a goal at the end.  If you didn't know which team was which you would have said Liverpool were the team top of the league. They were lucky against Barcelona near the end but also unlucky as they had two shots come off the crossbar and one cleared off the line during the match.   Until the last 20 mins, Liverpool were the best team on the pitch.

Didn't realise you had a footie thread.  Hope you don't mind if I join in?

(There's nothing worse than a football supporter than a female football supporter...)

My grandad played for Liverpool, so I'm blood.

It's Liverpool v Eindhoven on the 3rd or 4th of April, then again on the 10th or 11th.

After we win that, it's v Chelsea at Chelsea on the 24th or 25th,
then at Anfield on the 1st or 2nd of May.

Then we win the final.
I'll be watching, with my Candy shirt on

Chelsea v Valencia

Liverpool have got the easiest game. They've already beat PSV in the qualifiers so I see no problem from them getting through to the semis. A couple of precious away goals in the first leg should do the trick.

I couldn't give a shit if ManU go through or not. I expect that they will. Mind you, it would be good to see a ManU - Liverpool final just to see Liverpool beat them ha hah ha.

This is how Ladbrokes see it...

United 11/4 favourites
Chelsea 3/1
Liverpool 11/2
Milan 6/1
Valencia 8/1
Bayern 11/1
Roma 10/1
PSV 25/1

am loving all the scousers coming out in this thread ha hah a

Ive said all along it will be a Liverpool - Milan final again but im not too sure they are going to get there now. B Munich are playing very well and are scraping results so its going to be a very hard final either way. I still see us getting through against Chelsea as i think they'll grind out a score draw in Spain, being favourites for the cup might give the lads all the confidence they need to go all the way again.
