Or do you mean what he actually did during the fight? I have no idea what he was trying to do there when he came at him.
In the actual fight. He got over to Gall quite quickly, but then he just froze for half a second and suddenly he was on the ground. From there it was only ever going one way. I'm sure the gameplan must have been to keep some distance, stay on his feet, and get some ring time at the very least, but that went straight out the window.
I'm not sure where he goes from here either. If he can't cope with an up-and-comer like Gall, then he's going to struggle against everyone else on the UFC roster. Dana obviously wants to make some $$'s out of him though, so they're going to have to come up with something to build him back up.
