Wait, I just caught this. "The River is on Palm Canyon Dr." I didn't mean "The River" (I don't even know that place) I meant River Walk in Rancho Mirage. It's an outdoor mall with shops and restaurants. I particularly like the Yardhouse (great beer selection).

Coach, there is no "River Walk" mall. It's called The River.  River Walk is just one of sidewalks in the mall.  And the mall is located on Palm Canyon Drive (aka Highway 111) in Rancho Mirage.  That is the place you are talking about.  Nice place.  I like it, too.  Yard House is great.

I'd get a neurological checkup, if I were you.  Seriously.

Knew thread would somehow be about Obama....

First off, Obama is not a good president, he arrived at a serendipitous time when people were disillusioned with both the current and outgoing president Bush, and the status quo. All around the world incumbent political parties suffered because of the crash; he was different because he was black and the (at the time) opposition party.

Secondly, he promised "change" and people bought it.

He should have changed things soon as he got into office, Wall Street is pissing on people again because he failed to act and it is too far removed from the crash to make sweeping changes now.

However, he is not a Muslim, he is American, he does not sympathise with terrorists (see what was known of Osama before Obama set foot in the White House)... you disagree with him, and often rightly so, but you draw on far fetched theories and complete bullshit sometimes to justify a point that could be made on evidence alone.

This isn't Fox News, we aren't retards who need propaganda fed to us to be able to make an informed decision. He is a bad president, but he is working with a shitty congress and you don't need to invent conspiracy theories to strengthen your point unless you are devoid of good arguments or underestimate our intelligence.

You nailed it, Lustral.

You can mostly blame the crash on increased regulations brought about long before 2007 by certain politicians who believed EVERYONE has a "right" to be a homeowner. I can't figure out why so many here are so against "Wall Street". It's been very good on the whole to myself and many others. I'd think more would hate the IRS, but I guess liberals see them as Robin Hood.

Do you prefer to be limited to what the mainstream media thinks you should know about things, or do you watch something other than the top rated cable news network for your news? Is your beef with Obama that he's too far to the right in your opinion?

Coach is gonna be mowing Obama's lawn while el presidente enjoys a lemonade in the sun.  When the lawn is done, he'll challenge Coach to a basketball game and promptly humiliate him Harlem Globetrotters style.  Giving him a nice skippy off the forehead and then taking the ball right past him to the hole.  Coach will be seen holding his chest mid court and mumbling something about needing to get "back" into shape.
 :D

Such a moronic fantasy could only come from an angry, militant post-civil rights era African American mind. You forgot to throw in a cuckold scenario as well. Only problem with that is that Obama's 140 pound mulatto twink ass wouldn't make a very convincing mandingo, particularly opposite a pit bull like the Coach.

LOL, are you kidding me dude?  You sound like a child!  Completely absurd, baseless accusations.  Do you really believe the shit that comes out of your mouth???  This is why the Republican party is in such disarray -- it's being hijacked by conspiracy theorists who make bizarre and wildly unfounded accusations.  As Colbert said regarding "voter fraud"......"The complete lack of evidence is evidence enough for me".  ;D

It is indeed The River. When I lived out that way I always thought that place was highly overrated. For that matter, I never cared for Palm Springs either. I do kind of miss L.A. Live, though.

I stand by my post, but I only recently heard about the ridiculous rules regarding selling homes to certain socio-economic groups (we all know what that means). There was a bank in Milwaukee or Connecticut in 2008 AFTER Lehman fell that was sent a letter FORCING it to give mortgages to shitty applicants because that was policy. (Edit: this bank was solvent and had acted conservatively in boom years) Yes that was retarded, but look at the year? Also, read Michael Lewis' books and tell me Wall Street was not to blame. FDR said this should never happen again and laws were passed to that effect yet were repealed resulting in what happened. No one person is to blame, something the OP is painfully ignorant of.

Michael Lewis writes interesting novels based upon reality, but I'd take them with a grain of salt. He's got to sell books to make money.

For example, the market is not "rigged" except in odd instances where a few people are found to be doing illegal things here and there.

The markets (like everything else in a free market) do have certain built-in advantages for those with lots of money and connections. But it doesn't mean you will lose all of your money (unless you're greedy or foolish) the way you usually will at the casino, and it doesn't mean that you can't get rich. You can - as long as you are patient, smart about things, and have realistic expectations.

the greatest trade ever or whatever it is called about john paulson details the cfds and how fucked they were. I would find it easier to laugh at german bankers they misled except ireland is paying for it.

That was one hell of a move he made back in '07. He's had some ups and downs - moreso than most in his league. Takes very big, often risky positions on a limited number of holdings.

Guys like Paulson, Icahn, Buffett, and Soros with 11 figures in personal assets and that or more AUM can move entire markets by themselves. They tweet about a big move they just made, or CNBC reports that they just put a billion in this or that, the stock surges 5-10% or more behind them. The rest of us don't have that power - and have to be content to ride their coattails with a few of our bucks and do things differently with most of the rest of our time and money.

When you are dead, you don't know you are dead.  But other people do and they have to suffer through it.  Same way when you are stupid.  As Coach proves on here every single day.

No, what you prove is that you are a stupid birther and when encounterng logic and reality that you need facts to draw upon to debate, you simple cry "you just don't get it do you" and then run away from the thread all together.

You can't keep Obama and gay thoughts out of your mind can you?

More latent homosexual projections from this little closet case.  Just go ahead and admit that Barry's given you a case of Jungle Fever you can't shake.  Is that it?  Life is difficult enough being a midget and living in the ghetto.  Rather than seeking meds for the mental instability you have given yourself with your self loathing, you instead attempt to feel better with projections.
