My daughter is 13 and recently finished with her 'boyfriend' because she had a crush on a girl at school and felt it was unfair to have a boyfriend. It was only hanging out at school and holding hands crossing the road, so it was hardly serious.

Her decision after we talked it over was to wait till she's older and see how she feels then. It's likely a phase she's going through. So for now, she doesn't want a boyfriend or girlfriend as she is very confused.
