Unless I misunderstood, this is only in L.A. county. It was not Governor Newsom's decision because it was at the county level. The L.A. County Chief Executive Officer, Fesia Davenport has that responsibility. She was probably acting on the advice of Dr. Munti Davis the Director of Public Health.
I only drive through LA. I never have a valid reason to stop
Over the moon. Actually, they aren't bad $3.69 seems to be the average according to Gasbuddy. That is pretty much the same as they are in Oregon at the major stations. I bought gas today at Costco for $3.25. The Chevron and Texaco stations near me are $3.69. How they stay in business selling gas for .50 more per gallon is beyond me.
Where is that You're lucky to find anything under $4 and out in the middle of CA in small towns I saw it as high as $5.85.
Whoever wins the majority LA county wins the state. It has a higher population than 40 states when compared. Doesn't have to be Newsom's decision. LA county is radically liberal and supports Newsom.
Just in time for Newsom's recall election. They will say mail in ballots are needed again and Newsom will win in a landslide.
It's not like I make stuff up. If you don't have the Gas Buddy App, I suggest you get it. It might help you find gas in California under $4.50 a gal.Los Angeles:https://www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/california/los-angeles/150San Diego:https://www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/california/san-diego/2519San Francisco:https://www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/california/san-franciscoSacramento:https://www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/california/sacramentoBakersfield:https://www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/california/bakersfieldPalm Springs:https://www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/california/palm-springsRedding:https://www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/california/reddingSanta Rosa: (this is getting up there, but they're rich and can afford to pay a little more. LOL!)https://www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/california/santa-rosa
Prime Redding and San Diego might as well be in different states.
Look who's posting. He lives in Oregon. Must be a hell of a commute to drive to California and fill up the tank. I'm grateful he is giving us first hand knowledge I'm in San Diego, nothing under $4 here, anywhere. I have to drive to Vegas & Arizona for work, and the prices on the way there are unreal
If as you say, and I think you are correct, LA County is predominately liberal, the decision to reimplement the mask mandate should have no effect on Newsom's recall vote.
Who are all the liberals in LA County not getting vaccinated? It's not exactly a hotbed of conservatives, no way enough to account for the vaccine rates
They'll blame it on racism and say that hospitals required ID's to be vaccinated that's why "minorities" couldn't get the vaccine.
Ha, ha. Does this also mean that Portland, Ontario and Grant's Pass might as well be in different states? Baja California is actually a Mexican state.....but gas prices in Mexico are comparable to the U.S. as best as I can tell, (Gas Buddy doesn't cover Tijuana, Mexico).
even government workers who have ID, and are required to go to the vaccine site (but not actually get the shot) are still not getting it. Seems like about 30% aren't, and this is firefighters.https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-07-16/la-county-fire-vaccination-data
Why wouldn’t they fight for no ID for the vaccine? If ID requirements hinder minority voting wouldn’t hinder vaccination? You don’t even here them asking for it
