I’m still really hoping for Rick Grenell to run but if not I’m going for John Cox. He’s not the best candidate but better than the rest of the field. But if Grenell runs I firmly believe he can turn this state around

Grenell's been coy about running, but I suspect he's in. I'm hoping for change (I'm responsible for getting three households to sign the petition), but Newsom had $15M left over from the 2018 race and will probably collect a lot more.

This seems to be the overall prediction. In 2020 there were three attempts to recall Oregon's Governor Brown. Two of them turned in 0 signatures and the third had nowhere near the required number. The recall efforts were born of her responses to the pandemic, just as it is with Newsom.

Those three OR recall attempts never got to the ballot. There's going to be an actual vote this fall to determine if Newsom remains in office.
He's got more than the COVID response (which I think is enough to give him the boot) hanging over his head:
Over $20B (and counting) in unemployment benefit fraud, over $1B of which went to folks in jails, prisons - even on death row - and some out of state; massive executive order overreach that the courts have shot down; his ban on the sale of gas-powered vehicles starting in 2035; his "rules for thee but not for me."
Newsom won in 2018 with 7.7M votes, but I think he'll get significantly fewer checking "no" to the recall. 2020 showed that there were 6M Trump voters, and I expect most of them will check "yes" to the recall. Interesting times. :D

Exactly my point. He was California's dream governor and he won by a landslide.
To be in the spot he's in now and having the recall make the ballot demonstrates how far he's fallen.
You can say what you want, but I'm happy and don't even care if he's recalled now. Damage has been done. He'll never make it as president. That's all that matters to me.

I prefer women with proportional figures....more athletic looking. Historically, a woman's personality has been the main attraction. If she isn't intelligent, loving and interesting.....she is not for me, no matter how physically attractive she is.
