Never liked them.

I've seen many nice ones, but just as many mean ones.

The problem is they have the ability to do a LOT of damage very easily.

I grew up with a friend who had 3 of them, one of them was mean as hell. Had to be chained up behind the barn. It was always mean, even when it was 6 months old.

Anyway some idiot was trespassing on their ranch and the pit got loose, mangled the guy up pretty bad and almost killed him. The attack lasted like 2 minutes. We heard it happen, it was insane. The dog knew the guy was almost dead and was guarding him from us and the parents of my friend. Like it was his prey that he was guarding. One of the craziest things i remember as a kid. The father tried to get the dog away from the hurt kid and it attacked him, his own fucking dog.

I still remember they finally just shot the dog with a rifle.

I just don't get the mentality that comes with these dogs. It's like a thug life status symbol in the bad parts of town. In Los Angeles i literally saw them everywhere. Fucking Cholos and their pits.

I know...yet you ask someone who owns one..."Would you keep a stick of dynamite in your house?...Dynamite is very safe...used in many industries with a very good safety record."

there are always gonna be a few bad in everything.  look at humans. Dindues do more killings more crimes and more acts of violence than any other race of humans. But should they all be wiped off the earth? ( probably) but there are some good ones. a small percentage is good. But with pits its the opposite. Only a small percentage are bad and then its usually the owners fault.

 ;D

Good analogy my dude.

My daughter has two- she isn't going for the thug life status to my knowledge. One is 8, the other is six. Never ever been aggressive. On the other hand I have seen many German shepherds attack without provocation.
Based on my personal experience, we should therefore destroy every German Shepherd on earth. Makes sense- just like every other post on this thread, lol

Police in rural Virginia have released disturbing details about a woman who they say was killed by her two dogs while taking them for a walk last week.

Four days after Bethany Stephens, 22, was found, police held a second press conference to describe her death and refute rumours of foul play.

When deputies found the dogs on Friday they were guarding what police at first thought was an animal carcass.

But the body was Stephens's, and police say the pit bulls were eating her.

Tonka and Pacman have since been put down.

Almost all animals eat dead bodies, especially when they are starving. Fucking cats have been know to eat their owners after they passed.

And I'm ok with all cats being exterminated btw. They kill birds.

I have had pitbulls and american staffys my whole life, have two right now. They are beautiful dogs, the trouble with the breeds is the type of owners who are attracted to them. No different to raising children, give them the right amount of love and discipline and there won't be any problems. Just accept their limitations when it comes to the ability to socialise them especially with other dogs.

Pit Bulls reputation is enough to put me off them. My daughter and son-in-law had a Pit Bull mix when they lived in Hawaii where my son-in-law was stationed. They were planning on bring her back to Oregon when his tour was up but a vet told them not to because they don't fair well in a plane. Apparently most airlines won't transport any of the 'bully' breads.

I had a Lab for 15 years.

It killed so many birds and squirrels that the neighbors started to complain. ;D

He was a well trained dog, just had too much retriever in him.

Anything smaller than him that moved was chased.

He wasn't trying to kill them, but the end result was typically death.

Never bit anyone and wasn't aggressive, but MAN did he like to chase small animals!

This is my killer.  He got himself a Christmas squirrel a couple weeks ago.  He's gotten several squirrels, rabbits and one opossum.  The opossum was gruesome.  He bit into it like in the middle of its back and had it pretty much centered in his mouth.  Then he did the violent death shake until it was literally in two pieces.  Fucking disgusting.

the owners of pit bulls have more responsibility than owners of other breeds

pit bulls have tons of energy so they need to be walked and given exercise daily, and they need to be socialized with other animals and people

unfortunately they are often given a life that is the opposite, locked up on a chain all day and abused and neglected

no dog deals with more abuse than pit bulls because every scumbag that wants a dog wants a pit bull, so combine the abuse with their high energy levels you often end up with a blood bath

The owners of pit bulls are mostly cholos and ghetto hebrews

Nothing more precious than having a cop trigger happy dog around infants.

I'd go with a Husky, believe there was an incident 8 yrs ago or so but it may have been an accident.  The Husky was trying to move the infant puncturing the soft spot on its' head.

Ok i just have to chime in here. some of you are very right. But some of you are incredibly dumb. you are probably the same people who think the corona vaccine works and biden is a great president. smh. I have been a pit owner most of my life ( im 57)  never once has any of mine EVER gotten viscious with any human and rarely with other dogs unless that dog started it. yes they were raised as nanny dogs. truth.

The ones that do act up are either incredibly abused neglected etc. The other ones are owned by people doing illegal things and train them to be violent. PERIOD.  You here about the "pit bull" attacks more often because it fits the agenda of the media. i have friends who has pits and no one has ever had any incident.  There are more mean violent dogs out there like dobermans eskimo spits german shephards etc.  hell even little ankle bitters are more viscious  but no one cares.

treat a dog as you would a person. Love respect tenderness kindness. they will reward you way more. Some people have no idea how to raise a dog ( or children either) . My friend got a husky and took him back because he didnt know how to listen or sit or stay etc.  smh. he thought dogs were automatically known how to be. ( hes an idiot).  he didnt want to spend the time teaching him anything.  Are there some pits that are mean and should be put down? yes of course. But its the same with any living creature. humans included. there are always gonna be a few bad in everything.  look at humans. Dindues do more killings more crimes and more acts of violence than any other race of humans. But should they all be wiped off the earth? ( probably) but there are some good ones. a small percentage is good. But with pits its the opposite. Only a small percentage are bad and then its usually the owners fault.

I have always owned pit bulls, currently have a pitbull and 2 dogo argentinos..just have to raise them appropriately.

1..they are alphas..so, don’t be a pussy around them. 2 they will do anything to please you..if you are a violent abusive piece of shit? Guess what they will do to please you?

Remember, the same people with violent aggressive pit bulls are the same people who couldn’t keep there kids of of jail (you know who) what makes you think they could raise a dog who is more in tune with your emotional cues than any person ever could be.

The "mixed" ones is usually less violent
Since pitbull is not an actual breed, meaning they are all mixed..your argument shows your parents were brother and sister.
