George Peterson passes away at age 37 in Orlando, Florida, in his hotel room, days before competing at the 212lb and Under Contest.

I'd bet good money it was diuretics. I'd call the guys who use them idiots, but the judges keep rewarding extreme conditioning, so they have no choice but to play this deadly game to stay competitive.

we havent seen extreme conditioning since the early 2000s

It most likely wasn't diuretics. Sure he might have started some aldactone but most likely wasn't dehydrated at all yet.

Who knows what it was but peak week is stressful. Drugs at an all time high, stimmed up etc. But we'll see what it was, heart attack or what.

agree 100% according to dave he already made weight so it wasn't some last minute hocus pocus. Ron Harris mentioned Cardiac Arrest.

Some of these deaths could be overdose's. These guys abuse steroids why wouldn't they dabble in narcotics too. Fentanyl is everywhere. It's not just in the heroin either. Now people are overdosing from getting coke that's spiked with it

He sucks down from 230 contest weight to 212 and refills back up.

I seriously doubt it wasn't related to diuretic use(or bodily stress from depleting so hard),I'm willing to bet it was something to do with sodium/potassium.
