Yes, the Thunderdome version is my least favorite.

I watched that movie with no idea what it was about.  Never saw a trailer or read any description.  The first half was really funny and then it got really really sad really quick.  Nearly everyone in the theater was depressed when the credits rolled.

Clint Eastwood got Oscars for directing it.
He often gets overlooked as director but his movies are great.Not really any bust all of his movies are good some great .
