Amid planned protests, Gov. Newsom won't hold public Capitol Christmas tree lighting ceremony

SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
With multiple protests planned near the state Capitol, Gov. Gavin Newsom has decided to not hold the annual public Christmas tree lighting live and in person as originally planned on Tuesday.

Instead, the ceremony will be held remotely, and Newsom's office will provide a recording and stream on the governor's social media accounts on Wednesday.

"As we continue to see protests across the country impacting the safety of events of all scales – and for the safety and security of all participating members and guests including children and families – the ceremony this year will be virtual," a Newsom spokesperson said on Tuesday afternoon. "The program is unchanged and viewers can tune in Wednesday evening to watch this year’s festivities."

He's a dirtbag.  He was such a hypocrite during the lockdowns.

That man is as big of an empty suit as Obama.  Any time I've listened to him have any kind of extended discussion, off script, he sounds like a dope.

But the zombies will definitely vote for him.  If he's not the nominee this November, he's likely a Democrat frontrunner in 2028 against DeSantis.
