It's relatively easy to trace IP's on the internet, provided you can get the IP number. If someone's got it, I can trace it.

Mods can't see IP addresses - only Ron has access to them. That being said, IMO, trying to trace someone through their IP, esp. when they are a total stranger in an online forum means the tracer needs to step back from his PC and start thinking about getting a life
